What Odoo does
Odoo is one of the most comprehensive open-source ERP systems available. It covers the full range of business management needs: CRM, sales, invoicing, accounting, inventory, manufacturing, project management, HR, and more. ReefOffice offers Odoo as a beta alternative for clients who need a full ERP rather than the modular CRM and invoicing of Dolibarr. Odoo and Dolibarr are mutually exclusive — you can only run one on your server.
What you get
Invoicing & Payments
Create and send invoices, track payments, and manage customer and vendor bills. Full accounting — bank reconciliation and financial reports — belongs to Odoo Enterprise and is not included.
Inventory & Manufacturing
Manage stock levels, warehouses, and product variants. Plan manufacturing orders, track raw materials and finished goods.
Project Management
Plan projects with tasks, milestones, timesheets and budgets. Assign work to team members and track progress.
HR & Expenses
Manage employee records, leaves, expenses and recruitment, and run internal surveys. Payroll and appraisals belong to Odoo Enterprise and are not included.
OIDC SSO & Integration
Single sign-on with your ReefOffice account, through the OCA auth_oidc community module, is still being qualified during the beta. Until then you sign in with Odoo's own login.
Technical detail
How it works
Odoo runs as a Docker container with a dedicated PostgreSQL 16 database on an isolated Docker network. SSO is handled through the OCA auth_oidc community module (non-core, community-maintained, pinned version). A break-glass admin login is also available via the /web/login path. Odoo and Dolibarr cannot run simultaneously.
How it fits your stack
Odoo integrates with your ReefOffice stack through Authentik SSO. When Odoo is enabled, Dolibarr is automatically disabled since both ERPs cannot run at the same time. Activepieces automations can connect Odoo events (invoices, orders, leads) to Nextcloud, Hermes, and other services.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run both Odoo and Dolibarr? +
No — they are mutually exclusive. Enabling Odoo in the dashboard disables Dolibarr automatically. ReefOffice's NixOS configuration enforces this constraint at deployment time.
Is the SSO integration stable? +
Not yet. Odoo's OIDC support relies on the OCA auth_oidc community module, which is non-core and maintained by the Odoo Community Association. During the beta, ReefOffice is still qualifying it: until that is done for your server, you sign in with Odoo's own login, and SSO will remain less tightly integrated than with native SSO apps.
Which Odoo apps are included? +
CRM, Sales, Invoicing, Inventory, Manufacturing, Project Management, HR, Purchase, Expenses, and the Discuss chat module — the Odoo Community Edition apps are available on your ReefOffice server. Apps that exist only in Odoo Enterprise, such as full Accounting, Payroll, Sign, Documents and Helpdesk, are not included.
